about members scandals and rumors

The Party Hats are a PS2 Rock Band cover band. They never have and never will write their own music because, in their own words, "It's way too hard, and we just like to party!" They get their name from the fact that they like to party wearing little hats. Because little hats fall off a lot, they use their best friend, the bobby pin, to hold them on. In spite of that, many a time has a hat fallen off, disrupting the band's performance. Other people are welcome to attend their live shows, which have never attracted an audience due to the fact that they're not very entertaining. Rutabaga is the Party Hats without their drummer/guitar player, Emily Rice, the best musician in the entire world and a woefully undiscovered talent.

There are accusations of guitar-synching, or faking playing the guitar with the sound coming from a non-guitar source. The Party Hats admit to this, saying they just want to have the best concerts possible, and they say, "You really would want the recorded guitar part than the one we would play live. Trust me. It's much better." The Party Hats are rumored to reach 1,000,000 points in a single song. This is not true, but if you ask them, they will say that it's true. All of the members of the Party Hats are rumored to smell bad. This has not yet been proven. Contrary to popular belief, the band mates cannot stand each other. They say they are just "in it for the money." They are on their third drumset, mic, and guitar each due to their nature of hurling their instruments at each other when they do not perform up to expectations. Two of the members have stitches from these fights, and one, Emily, was in a coma for eight months after being hit in the head with a drum. Paul later apologized. Often the bandmates threaten to go out and do a solo record, but then they are reminded that they're not very good composers, and they realize that they really should stick to the cover band. All three band members are simultaneously dating Paris Hilton, which makes it very awkward. While Emily is straight, she feels that at this point in her career, "it is time to date Paris Hilton." Also, it is rumored that the stranger on the drums is just Paul with a beard; he was not replaced by anyone. "Where did his mouth go?" lamented the other two members of the band. "We didn't recognize him either," said Emily.

Ken Rice: Ken Rice, or as he prefers his stage name - Dad, is the singer in the Party Hats, although occasionally the microphone is handed to Paul, the multi-talented drum/guitar/singer player in the band. Dad, while arguably not possessing the finest voice, or remotely near fine, can generally sing in tune, which for the Party Hats is the only thing that matters.

Paul Rice:Paul the guitarist/drummer/singer of the band. He also sings in tune. He is very good at everything because he plays Rock Band A LOT. He has been a member of many different bands, such as Rutabaga (named after the rutabaga). He prefers the conical party hat because he says it elongates his face. His favorite party hat color is pink because "it's a party color." Paul hopes one day to join a better band.

Emily Rice: Emily, the most gifted and talented member of the band after Dad and Paul, plays the drums and guitar. Although she prefers the drums, she is not strong or big enough to fight her brother off the drums, so she occasionally ends up playing the guitar.

Non-existant Bass Player: This position is open to people who like to wear party hats. S/he must be able to play the bass well enough that her/his fellow bandmates do not kick her/him out of the band.

The Party Hats formed when the game Rock Band was brought into the house. A trio of the three people who liked Rock Band the most decided to form a band. Many names were discussed, such as Little Baby Buggy Bumpers and The Apocalypse of Misery. All were dumped in favor of the name, The Party Hats. This new name enveloped everything they believed in - both parties and hats, and that's how the Party Hats were formed. The first rehearsal was a unmitigated disaster as all had lied about their competence in playing their instruments. Over time, however, they improved until they could cover a large variety of songs, and their repertoire is growing by the day and the new releases of songs for Rock Band.
